In the beautiful halls of the historic Seidlvilla in the heart of Munich, we celebrated an important milestone together with our members and guests on Saturday, 29 November 2025 – three decades of our association’s history.
In addition to the address by the board of the association, the Consul General of the Republic of Slovenia in Munich, Ms. Maša Šiftar, also delivered a ceremonial speech.
On behalf of Minister Matej Arčon, she presented the association with a Certificate of Recognition and Appreciation from the Government Office for Slovenians Abroad – an acknowledgment of our contribution to fostering cultural and economic relations between the Republic of Slovenia and the Free State of Bavaria.
The association would not have reached this honorable anniversary without its dedicated members. On the occasion of our 30th anniversary, the following members were awarded honorary certificates for their long-standing commitment to strengthening ties between Bavaria and Slovenia: Erika Eichenseer, Dr. Michaela Fuchs, Dr. Anton Jurgez, Slavo Šerc, Dr. Lev Vidmar, Prof. Dr. Peter Zimmermann, and Marjan Kumer, who also prepared an in-depth presentation of the history and activities of the association from its founding onward.
The highlight of the evening was the wonderful concert by the Akkordeonorchester München, followed by a relaxed celebration with food, drinks, and a festive cake.

We are proud of all the members who have contributed to the development of our community over the past three decades. Especially abroad, such mutual connections are particularly valuable.
We are pleased that the association has successfully navigated the generational transition, and that the younger generation continues to carry forward our values and vision – building friendly, cultural, and economic bridges between Bavaria and Slovenia.
